What is New for 2023?
By end of 2023, The Grant Portal will provide Grant Writer Directory with listings of professional grant writer services. Plus the website will add the IRS 990 PF foundations directory that enables grant seekers the ability to search private foundations that have awarded grants to organizations in the previous year.

The Grant Portal Team
Our team came together to create the most comprehensive source of grant and funder data in the world, and designed it around the needs of the nonprofit, academic, business and individual community. We make the grant search process faster, easier, and more efficient, so you can concentrate on what you do best: make a positive impact in your community. We believe in hard-working folks that accelerate social progress and advance innovation. That's why we think it is time for sharing valuable grant information. Our goal is to help you move the world forward, one grant at a time.

 History
When COVID-19 hit in 2020, it negatively impacted our company's customers and software hosting business. More than 130,000 businesses permanently closed during the first year of the pandemic. This unprecedented economic downturn was the motivation to create The Grant Portal. Our staff spent weeks combing the internet for government funds or grants. The effort was extraordinarily tedious and time consuming; eventually the team discovered that there were 100,000s of funding sources and  free money grants, but the information was fragmented and difficult to access. That is when the team decided to create The Grant Portal.  The Grant Portal was created by our dedicated team of IT professionals who devoted their careers to software development and application hosting services for more than 20 years.

Since the launch in January 2022, The Grant Portal has databased more than 28,000 grants and lists more than 15,100 grants currently accepting grant applications. The Grant Portal has helped more than 4,200 users find grants.  Please note that The Grant Portal does not provide funds or grants. It provides information and access to grant providers who are actively accepting grant applications.
