About Us

The Grant Portal Team
We've been in business since 2001. The Grant Portal was created by our dedicated team of IT professionals who devoted their careers to software development and application hosting services. Our team came together to develop the most comprehensive grant catalog in the world and design it around the needs of the nonprofit, academic, business and individual communities.  We believe The Grant Portal makes the search process faster, easier, and more efficient so you can concentrate on what you do best: make a positive impact in your community. We believe in hard-working folks that utilize grant funds to accelerate social progress and advance innovation.  Our goal is to help you move the world forward, one grant at a time.

Our Mission
The Grant Portal's mission is to be the largest online catalog of grants for nonprofits, small businesses and individuals that are currently accepting applications and to offer subscriptions at the lowest price.

History
Since the launch in January 2022, The Grant Portal has databased more than 29,900 grants and lists more than 16,000 grants currently accepting grant applications. The Grant Portal has helped more than 4,800 users find grants.  Please note that The Grant Portal does not provide funds or grants. It provides information and access to grant providers who are actively accepting grant applications.

Why Subscribe to The Grant Portal?
The answer is simple: The Grant Portal provides great value and access to twice as many grants for less than half the cost of other services. For those that sign up for the Free Grant Newsletter Alerts, each will receive email notices of grants that meet their profile selections. For those that purchase a subscription, they have visibility to all current and archived grants, grant requirements and access to the grant provider's applications.  Paid subscribers also enjoy advanced features such as keyword search that enables the ability to comb through the contextual descriptions of more than 28,730 grants, the ability to set calendar reminders and set grant favorites.

What is New for 2023?
By end of 2023, The Grant Portal will provide Grant Writer Directory with listings of professional grant writer services. Plus the website will add the IRS 990 PF foundations directory that enables grant seekers the ability to search private foundations that have awarded grants to organizations in the previous year.

Sign Up for Free Grant Alert Newsletter
Sign up for the Free Grant Alerts and receive summary overviews of the latest grants.  Paid subscribers have unlimited access to the grant requirements, grant applications, links to grant provider websites, application links, webinars, contact emails and more. Once you see a grant that interests you, you can subscribe to a low-cost subscription to view the grant provider's details and submit a grant application.  We believe the time savings is worth it.

View Grant Details
To view grant details and access the full functionality of the site, you must have a paid subscription. The Grant Portal will save time and money for any organization or individual who is interested in finding grants.

The portal lists 6 different types of grants:

  • federal government
  • state and local government
  • corporate foundations
  • corporate award programs
  • private/family foundations
  • community/public foundations

The Grant Portal supports Underserved Communities
The Grant Portal employs more than a dozen team members from underserved communities to conduct research and input grants into The Grant Portal.  Your paid subscriptions allow us to pay it forward.  Thank you for your support!

The Grant Portal supports  Feeding America
For every paid subscription to The Grant Portal, we donate funds to Feeding America. One dollar donation equates to at least 10 meals to children and adults facing hunger in every community across the country.
