Description


The fund was established in 1985 by the U.S. Durum Growers Association in memory of Monroe Scheflo the Association's President from 1982 to 1984 when he lost his battle with cancer at the age of 43. Monroe Scheflo was raised in Newburg, ND and graduated from high school there. He married Dianne Hanson at Minot and graduated from Minot State College in 1964. He taught school until 1975 and then engaged in full time farming near Bottineau, ND.
