Summary
Early-career researchers at U.S. medical or research institutions can apply for funding to advance research involving schizophrenia, bipolar I disorder, sleep and circadian disturbances, narcolepsy, or idiopathic hypersomnia. The opportunity supports preclinical, clinical, translational, epidemiological, and patient-centered research, as well as studies using real-world data, health economics, telehealth, and other approaches that can improve understanding and care. Individual grants may provide up to $100,000 per research project for work that can be completed within two years. Applicants generally must hold an MD, PhD, DNP, DMSc, or equivalent degree, be within five years of their initial academic appointment or be a current postdoctoral fellow, and have an experienced research mentor.
