Summary
Programs protect and strengthen women and girls in Northeast Florida by addressing violence, safety, recovery, and independence. Funds support prevention education, community awareness, services, and longer-term assistance for survivors. Resources can cover short-term housing, food, transportation, childcare, physical or mental health care, and other services that help families move toward stability. Support also builds nonprofit capacity through staff recruitment, retention, recognition, training, and resources.
Charitable organizations with established presence may seek support for projects serving women or girls exclusively. Applicants need a qualifying charitable status or fiscal sponsorship and a history of community work. Priority goes to approaches that prevent harm, improve survivor safety, expand access to essential care, or create lasting pathways to self-sufficiency. Proposals should explain community need, intended participants, planned services, use of funds, partnerships, organizational capacity, and expected results. Both newer approaches and proven programs can be considered when they show equity, planning, and measurable benefit.
