Summary
Support expands safety, health, economic security, education, and opportunity for women and girls in an eastern North Carolina county. Funds can strengthen prevention of violence, mental and physical wellness, family stability, educational opportunity, job preparation, and services that build self-sufficiency. A regional opportunity supports education, health, and human-service programs across eastern North Carolina.
Eligible recipients include nonprofits, public schools or government units, churches, and fiscally sponsored groups delivering nondiscriminatory services. Women- and girls-focused projects must serve residents and demonstrate how activities create safety, opportunity, well-being, or economic stability. Regional requests must address education, health, or human-service needs within an eastern North Carolina service area. Individual assistance, political activity, lobbying, fundraising campaigns, and religious programming limited to one faith community are not supported. Organizations submit requests through an online portal and should explain the need, participants, activities, use of funds, budget, partnerships, capacity, and outcomes. Programs are offered through application cycles.
