Environmental Art Support for Gender-Diverse Lead Artists
GrantID: 63293
Grant Funding Amount Low: $20,000
Deadline: Ongoing
Grant Amount High: $20,000
Summary
Support advances environmental art that encourages public thought and action. Funds complete an existing project or a defined phase, including fees, materials, equipment, rentals, and outreach. Supported work can explore climate change, regeneration, natural systems, interspecies relationships, clean energy, recycling, or eco-social connection. Projects include a free public engagement: an exhibition, performance, screening, discussion, or live online event.
Women, transgender, and gender-nonconforming artists ages eighteen and older who reside in the United States, Tribal Nations, or U.S. territories are eligible lead applicants. Artists may apply individually or as part of a collaboration, but organizations cannot lead requests. Proposed work must already be underway, use sustainable and ethically sourced materials when possible, and show environmental impact and public benefit. Applicants submit a project description, budget, timeline, public-engagement plan, outreach strategy, and work samples. Selection considers feasibility, environmental and social impact, community engagement, creativity, artistic merit, and evidence of a sustained practice.
