Eligible recipients are women artists age eighteen or older with an active studio practice in the United States who primarily create figurative realist paintings. Applicants can be at an emerging professional stage and should be pursuing a painting career. Submitted work demonstrates technical ability, artistic voice, and commitment to representational painting in which the human figure carries visual and thematic importance. Selection recognizes potential for artistic growth, professional advancement, and a future exhibition. The opportunity welcomes women of diverse backgrounds, including cisgender and transgender women and nonbinary people who identify as women. Artists should provide selected recent works and demonstrate readiness to create new paintings for broader public presentation.
