Summary
Grants for private and nonprofit developers, tenants, and property owners may be eligible for substantial funding for major real estate development and construction projects. The opportunity supports projects that strengthen neighborhoods, create economic activity, improve community services, and address local development needs. Eligible projects may include commercial, cultural, industrial, institutional, social-service, and mixed-use developments. Funding can support new construction, rehabilitation, property acquisition, and certain pre-development costs. Projects must generally be proposed developments that have not been completed when the application is submitted and should provide meaningful benefits to the surrounding community. Large grants exceed $5 million and are generally intended to support approximately 25% of eligible project costs. Funding is provided as reimbursement after project completion. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
