Grants for Advancing Underserved Communities in Texas
GrantID: 75292
Grant Funding Amount Low: $50,000
Deadline: October 10, 2025
Grant Amount High: $50,000
Summary
This grant program offers three awards of $50,000 each to nonprofit organizations. The goal is to support nonprofit-led initiatives that serve underserved communities within the region in areas such as education, job skills and readiness, and health and wellness. The intent is to provide funds to implement specific projects (rather than general operating support) that will advance inclusion, improve lives, or expand access to critical services in the community.
Eligibility is limited to nonprofit organizations (i.e. tax‑exempt under U.S. section 501(c)(3), in good standing, not private foundations). Individuals, for‑profit businesses, schools (public or private), lobbying or religious groups, athletic programs, travel events, and media or book production are excluded. The project must be sited in the region, and the funds must go toward a program or project (not solely administrative overhead or general capacity building). Applicants may not currently receive a similar award for the same project from this program, and past recipients may be disqualified from reapplying for a certain period.
The application window opens in late September and closes mid‑October. After submissions, a grant review committee will assess proposals and select three nonprofits to receive funding. Selected organizations are expected to report on their outcomes, share results, and may be featured in public forums about how the funds were used. The broader aim is to strengthen local capacity in under resourced areas and foster lasting community impact.
