Grant Funding Amount Low: $10,000
Deadline: Ongoing
Grant Amount High: $40,000
Summary
Access a community funding opportunity designed to support local nonprofit organizations that are working to improve key needs. It is offered annually through a well-established community-focused organization that engages local partners to strengthen education, health, financial stability, and other essential services in the region.
Grants through this process generally range from $10,000 up to about $40,000 per program, with individual awards expected to fall anywhere within that band depending on the scope and needs
of the project. Eligible nonprofit organizations are invited to apply once a year during an open application period that typically begins at the start of January and closes by the end of that month.
This funding is intended to help nonprofit organizations launch, expand, or sustain programs that address priority community issues such as mental health support, basic needs like food and
transportation access, childcare services, prevention of domestic violence, housing stability efforts, financial coaching, and other targeted local priorities. Projects that support underserved residents or respond to unmet or under-met needs are especially encouraged.
Only registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that serve residents in the designated county qualify to submit applications. Organizations must meet basic eligibility criteria such as having been in operation for a certain period, maintaining required financial documentation, and demonstrating the capacity to carry out the proposed activities. Small businesses or individuals are not the primary focus of these awards, although nonprofits that partner with businesses or individual volunteers in their local initiatives may include those collaborations in their proposals.
Beyond the financial award itself, the process is volunteer-driven and emphasizes community engagement. Local volunteers help review applications so that funding decisions align with community needs and values. Successful applicants receive funding intended to support meaningful, measurable improvements in community well-being and strengthen the ability of local organizations to make lasting impact.
