Summary

This grant opportunity supports community-centered projects through multiple funding streams managed by a large communications and technology organization that invests in social impact. There are several types of grants available in different regions, including Canada and selected international areas, each designed to help local groups address community needs and improve outcomes for people, especially youth and Indigenous populations. Grants are not open to individuals or for-profit businesses; instead, eligibility is focused on registered charities, qualified nonprofit organizations, Indigenous-led community groups, and similar community partners operating in specified regions. Grants offer single-year support of up to CA$20,000 for grassroots initiatives that align with priorities such as supporting young people up to around age 29 through health and education-focused programming, with some areas having slightly lower maximum awards. These grants are intended to help organizations expand their capacity, implement community activities, and leverage technology in ways that benefit residents where they live. Regional boards are empowered to allocate funds based on local needs, allowing decisions to reflect the unique character of communities across provinces and territories.


Another stream provides flexible funding specifically for Indigenous-led projects across all Canadian provinces and territories, with one-time grants ranging approximately from CA$5,000 up to around CA$25,000. These funds are meant to support initiatives that address social, cultural, educational, health, or community building priorities as defined by Indigenous partners. Projects may include efforts to enhance wellbeing, preserve cultural languages and practices, improve access to resources, or strengthen community connections.


The overarching goal of all these opportunities is to foster positive community change by empowering organizations with the financial resources they need to make a tangible difference.
