Summary
Support advances education, outreach, and services improving life for older adults and people experiencing poverty. Resources strengthen libraries, scholarships, building improvements, programs, and new or expanded assistance in homes and communities. Projects grounded in peace, equity, simplicity, integrity, shared responsibility, and respect for people are aligned.
Eligible recipients are charitable organizations and accredited educational institutions throughout the United States whose programs reflect Quaker values. Funding favors original approaches, designated projects, outreach, and initiatives that increase access to learning, care, or community resources. Support does not cover individual awards, research programs, annual campaigns, conference participation, or indirect costs unrelated to direct services. Organizations can submit an introductory request through the public process to seek a family sponsor; formal support is considered when a sponsor takes interest in the organization’s work. Strong requests explain the need, beneficiaries, activities, use of funds, measurable outcomes, and connection between the work and Quaker-inspired community values.
