Summary

This program provides tuition grants for physically challenged K–12 students in the United States. Its aim is to help eligible students attend private elementary, middle, or high schools when their physical disability and financial need would otherwise limit access. Applicants must be students with a physical disability and demonstrate financial need; academic achievement or potential is also considered in selecting recipients.

The grant amounts are not fixed. Each grant is determined individually by considering factors such as the student’s financial need, the tuition cost of the chosen private school, how much (if any) the school is able to contribute, and the overall number of qualified applicants in a given year. Because of this individualized evaluation, the award size varies from case to case.

If a student is awarded a tuition grant, they may reapply each year through 12th grade, potentially receiving a renewal at the foundation’s discretion. The foundation retains full discretion over whether to award the initial grant or any renewal, and on what terms. Decisions consider not only financial need but also the student’s physical disability severity/duration and likelihood of benefiting from a private-school environment that meets their needs.

Funds are paid directly to the private school the student attends, not to the student or their family. The program does not support institutions or businesses; it is strictly for individual students. There is no discrimination based on race, religion, national origin or similar factors; eligibility is centered on physical disability and financial need.

The benefit of this grant program lies in enabling physically challenged children to access private education settings with appropriate support, helping remove financial and accessibility barriers. This can offer these students a learning environment better suited to their needs, support their academic and social development, and increase their opportunity for long-term success.
