Assistant Chief of Police
About Me
I am a seasoned law enforcement professional serving as the Assistant Chief of Police for the Comanche Police Department, bringing approximately 25 years of experience in policing. Over the course of my career, I have developed a strong foundation in operations, investigations, and departmental administration, with the last eight years focused in leadership roles where I help guide personnel, policy, and strategic direction.
In my current position, I play a key role in organizational oversight, combining practical field experience with command-level decision-making. In addition to my leadership responsibilities, I serve as the department’s grant writer—securing funding opportunities that enhance resources, support officer development, and strengthen public safety initiatives.
My professional approach reflects a balance of discipline, accountability, and forward-thinking leadership, with an emphasis on efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement. I bring both experience and adaptability to the role, ensuring my department remains effective in meeting the evolving needs of the community.
My Services
With extensive experience in law enforcement and public sector operations, I provide specialized grant writing services tailored to the needs of police departments and public safety organizations. My background includes successfully identifying, developing, and managing grant opportunities that support critical initiatives such as equipment acquisition, training, personnel, and community-based programs.
I offer end-to-end grant support, including funding research, eligibility analysis, proposal development, budget preparation, and submission coordination. Each application is carefully crafted to align with program requirements while clearly demonstrating operational need, measurable outcomes, and long-term impact.
My approach combines real-world law enforcement experience with a strong understanding of compliance, reporting standards, and fiscal accountability. This ensures that not only are grants competitive during the application process, but they are also manageable and sustainable once awarded.
Whether assisting with a single grant application or developing a long-term funding strategy, my goal is to help agencies secure the resources necessary to enhance public safety, improve officer readiness, and better serve their communities.
My Successes
Through a strategic and detail-oriented approach to grant writing, I have successfully helped secure funding that directly enhances public safety operations and organizational effectiveness. My work has resulted in the acquisition of critical resources, including equipment, training opportunities, and program funding that may not have otherwise been attainable through standard budgets.
By aligning each application with clearly defined needs, measurable outcomes, and funding priorities, I have consistently produced competitive proposals that stand out in highly selective grant processes. My ability to translate real-world operational challenges into compelling, data-driven narratives has contributed to a strong track record of award success.
Beyond securing funding, I ensure that awarded grants are effectively managed and fully utilized in compliance with all requirements. This has allowed for sustained program success, improved departmental capabilities, and increased opportunities for future funding.
Overall, my grant writing efforts have provided tangible, lasting benefits—strengthening agency resources, supporting officer development, and improving the level of service delivered to the community

Reading Interventionist
About Me
I have been an educator for over 27 years and work in the county with the highest poverty rate in Kansas. Our elementary students are a treasure to all of us and we pour everything we can into our children however, the needs are too vast and we need support. Most children need assistance with their basic needs and as a school district, we need help providing supplies, experiences, technology, and opportunities for our students to see what this world has to offer others outside of our rural community.

I have been in elementary education for 27 years. I have been a classroom teacher, an instructional coach, and currently I am a reading intervention teacher. I have been on many committees through my years of service and have been awarded Teacher of the Year. I have written only two grants so far and have been awarded two grants! So far I'm 100% successful! I am hoping to provide support for our students, but most of all I want them to see there is hope!
