I have been an educator for over 27 years and work in the county with the highest poverty rate in Kansas. Our elementary students are a treasure to all of us and we pour everything we can into our children however, the needs are too vast and we need support. Most children need assistance with their basic needs and as a school district, we need help providing supplies, experiences, technology, and opportunities for our students to see what this world has to offer others outside of our rural community.

I have been in elementary education for 27 years. I have been a classroom teacher, an instructional coach, and currently I am a reading intervention teacher. I have been on many committees through my years of service and have been awarded Teacher of the Year. I have written only two grants so far and have been awarded two grants! So far I'm 100% successful! I am hoping to provide support for our students, but most of all I want them to see there is hope!
